On the last day of May in this year I had my first full seizure. A couple of days later at Abington Memorial Hospital I was diagnosed with Epilepsy. Apparently, I have had the condition my entire life but I was unaware of this, owing to the fact that a full seizure had never manifest itself until that day. However for my entire life, I've been having what are known as "partial seizures". My partial seizures would take the the form of what I called "Dream Dumps". Intense feelings of deja vu and sometimes jamais vu where I would be overwhelmed with memories of past dreams.  â€‹

Despite being one of the most common chronic brain disorders, Epilepsy is still widely misunderstood, stigmatized, and often shrouded in fear and misinformation. I hope by sharing my story I can help change that. If even in a very small way.Since my condition is newly diagnosed, I'm still working through what it all means. Including how it may be linked to my artistic process. I look forward to sharing this journey with others.
